New Jersey Educators Exploring the Practices of Reggio Emilia (NJEEPRE) was formed in April 2003 by a small group of early childhood professionals working together to foster an understanding of the principles and practices of the Reggio Emilia approach to educating young children.

Since that time, NJEEPRE has incorporated as a non-profit organization in the state of New Jersey and is a federal tax-exempt 501©3 organization.

In 2009, NJEEPRE became a membership organization, offering yearly memberships to New Jersey early childhood professionals, as well as those from surrounding states.
